On Monday night the Leonids meteor shower was visible. Overall, it was pretty weak showing. After going up to Chabot to try and get a good look, I maybe saw a total of 3 meteors and then a second trip up to Lawrence Hall of science yielded maybe 2 more.

I was excited though because it reminded me a lot of the last time I saw this meteor shower. The last time was in 2001, when I still lived at 2610 Benny. I remember walking out into the street with our housemates late at night and lying down in the middle of the street to watch the meteor shower. Haha periodically getting up when we saw a car coming down the street.

Even with overtly yellow street lights ruining our nightvision, we were able to see tons of meteors… *sigh* yea, that’s a memory that still makes me smile involuntarily.

I really liked this post about a guy that picks a fight with a wrong lawyer… A Korean American Lawyer.

Here’s the link to article about the Korean American Lawyer who was assaulted on Wall St. in New York. His attacker punched him and he subdued him using Brazillian Jiujutsu and MMA. He then sued his attacker and the building.

Awesome… just plain awesome…

I’m a big fan of Futurama and it’s back on Comedy Central!

So in celebration my favorite 3 Futurama Episodes:

3. Godfellas
Jon’s Plot Review: Bender get shot into space during a fight with space pirates where he might drift for eternity. A meteor hits him which leads to a race of small people living on him, with him being their god.

2. The Luck of the Fryrish
Jon’s Plot Review: Partly told with a series of flashbacks. Fry thinks about his older brother Yancy. Finds out how his family coped with his disappearance. Pretty emotional episode, especially from a cartoon.

1. Jurassic Bark
Jon’s Plot Review: Fry finds his fossilized dog on display in a museum. He decides whether or not to clone and bring his dog back to life. One of the most crushingly sad episodes of a cartoon I have seen. Very well told.
